🥑 A Beautiful Place to Begin

There’s something special about planting a tree you know will feed your family one day.

These are grafted 3–4 ft Hass avocado trees, already strong and established — not tiny seed-grown starts. Because they’re grafted, they’re capable of producing fruit much sooner, often in their first or second season once settled into your yard.

They’re old enough to handle the transition.

Young enough to grow with you.

And truly, that’s the sweet spot. 🌿

1. Grown for the Long Game

Our trees are:

✔ 3–4 feet tall at pickup
✔ Strong-rooted and well-established
✔ Structurally balanced for future canopy growth
✔ Ready to transition smoothly into your landscape

This isn’t a rushed, root-bound shipment. These are trees meant to anchor a yard and grow with you.

Start a Grove, Not Just a Tree

If you’ve ever walked through a coastal orchard at golden hour, you know — it’s not just one tree.

Avocados love good neighbors.

Pair your Hass with one of our citrus trees — especially a Meyer Lemon — and you’ve created something special:

• Lemon blossoms in spring
• Glossy evergreen foliage year-round
• Citrus for drinks, cooking, and gifting
• Complementary growth habits
• A layered, Mediterranean-coastal feel

The Meyer Lemon is softer and sweeter than traditional lemons — perfect with fresh avocado dishes, dressings, and seafood nights on the porch.

Plant them together and you’re not just growing fruit.

You’re building a backyard grove.

Why Avocado + Citrus Works So Well

Both thrive in:

• Full sun
• Well-drained soil
• Warm coastal conditions
• Thoughtful irrigation

They create a natural pairing — aesthetically and practically. Avocado for richness. Citrus for brightness. It’s the kind of combination that turns a yard into a lifestyle.

If you’re investing in a Hass, this is the perfect moment to add a citrus companion before July pickup.

Hass Avocado — FAQ

🥑 How long does it take for an Avocado tree to bear fruit?

This depends on how mature your tree is when you bring it home.

Smaller trees under 3 feet may begin to form tiny fruit, but they often drop while the tree is still building strength — and that’s completely normal. Think of it as practice.

Once your tree reaches around 3-5 feet and becomes well established, you can expect consistent harvests that increase year after year. Avocados are a long game — and they reward patience beautifully.

🌞 Is an Avocado tree an indoor plant?

Avocados thrive outdoors in warm climates which makes them right at home here in the Lowcountry.

That said, they can absolutely grow indoors — if their needs are met. They love:

• Warm temperatures

• Bright, direct sunlight

• Humidity

If you’re growing indoors, a sunny window, daily misting, or a humidifier will keep your tree happy. Avocado roots prefer well-draining soil and do not like sitting in water.

🥑 What makes a Hass Avocado different?

Hass is the classic avocado you know from the grocery store — dark, pebbled skin when ripe and a small seed inside.

It’s beloved for its rich, buttery flavor and consistent texture. Other avocado varieties vary slightly in size, flavor, and harvest window — but Hass remains the gold standard for home growers.

🌳 How tall do Hass Avocado trees grow?

Outdoors, a mature Hass tree can reach:

• 15–20 feet tall

• 5–8 feet wide

When grown in a container, they stay much more manageable — typically 5–7 feet tall — which makes harvesting simple and patio growing very practical.

🍂 When do you harvest Hass Avocados?

Harvest season generally runs between February and September, depending on your region.

Initial fruiting often begins in late fall, and once your tree is established, it will continue producing year after year. Avocados do not ripen on the tree — you harvest them and allow them to ripen indoors.

💧 How often should I water my Hass Avocado?

When newly planted, water thoroughly to help the roots establish.

After that, allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. In most cases, a deep watering once per week is perfect.

Avocado roots prefer to stay on the drier side — but the leaves love humidity.

For indoor trees:

• Mist daily during cooler months

• Use a humidifier if your air is dry

• Or place your pot on a saucer filled with rocks and water (just make sure the bottom of the pot stays above the water line)

Balance is key — never soggy soil.

🌿 A Gentle Reminder

Avocados are legacy trees.

Plant them once. Tend them well. Enjoy them for years.
